Weekend big breakfast

Once in a while the boys will love it when i make western big breakfast for them. Here it is..... air fried fish fillet with sautéed mushroom, mashed potatoes and fresh cherry tomatoes.

Spaghetti puttanesca

Have been wanting to try this pasta for sometime, at last i made it. Ingredients are simple just garlic, onion, chili flakes, olive, capers, basil, tomatoes and most important is the anchovies! remember to add shredded parmesan too.

Nasi Ayam Kurma

Made ayam kurma for the first time, used Adabi spices but instead of coconut milk, i substituted with yogurt, still taste yummy. Also added some green peas for colour and hard boiled quailed eggs as requested by Jaden.

Pork tonteki

Saw this pork tonteki from Just one cookbook but i'm out of ponzu sauce, so i created my own sauce by using garlic, onion, ginger, lemon juice, soy sauce, sake, mirin and brown sugar. It did turned out nice. For the pork i followed the recipe which is very easy. Served it with shredded cucumber and soba noodles with sesame and added chilli flakes to the sauce.

Scotch egg (again)

Attempted the scotched egg again and it was a success. Added roasted sweet potatoes with herbs and blanched french beans as sides. Boys loved it!

Shakshuka (Devil's egg)

Made shakshuka (devil's egg) according to one of my favourite youtuber, honeykki. Added cauliflower, carrot, basil leaves and chili flakes. Turned out nice.

Kim chee fried rice

I actually tried making kimchee but used a shortcut as i bought a ready made sauce to ferment the cabbage. It turned out well. I will try to make kimchee from scratch next time. Made fried rice with my kimchee and top it with fried egg.

Coconut candy


Made this today and it brought many childhood memories. Recipe is very simple, use grated coconut (the white part), condense milk, vanilla essence, panda leaves, butter and lotsa muscle to stir the concoction till it is thick. Transfer them to a dish and add some colouring and voila!
