I remembered we cooked this dish during one of our SRT in school, quite a nostalgic dish! Instead of rice I prepared macaroni to go with it. For the sambal I blended dried chillies, shallots, onions, garlic and ginger. Since I do not have tamarind paste in stock, I tried using apple cider, huh... not bad the taste. But to get the sambal taste, just add some ikan bills stock, salt, sugar, tomato and child sauce, guarantee dapat!
