Made these prawn toast for breakfast one day.. Quite a hit with my takers except Jaden who does not like prawns..

Our christmas tree was up 2 weeks ago as the boys was pestering me to put it up.. still have not get  presents for everyone..

Nyonya Perut Ikan

We are so lucky today ... Ma cooked pert ikan with Christine's help. Perut ikan is a classic penang nyonya dish with fish stomach, veggies and herbs.

Ma's Khao Yok & Curry Kapitan Chicken

Whoa!!... today got rezeki... ma cooked Khao Yok or steamed pork with yam & Curry Kapitan Chicken. I particularly like curry capitan as it has the spicy & sour taste with the aromatic smell of kaffir lime which is very appetising. The pork yam was very aromatic as Ma had them marinated overnight. woohoo! war a feast!!

Ryan requested tomato soup today. Found one roasted red pepper & tomato soup from "for the love of cooking".

Dong Po Rou, Apple puffs & macaroni with tomato & chorizo

Firstly, ma found a new meat supplier who are selling fresh & cheap cuts. She bought some nice "em fa lum" or 5 layered meat... so i suggested to her to make Dong Po Rou... So yummy to eat with a bowl of hot rice.

I have some green apples sitting in the fridge for sometime... Jen made some apple puffs rolls... Walla! good way to use the apples!... Not bad r.. first time trying... i did not watched them carefully, the sugar on top was a bit burnt.. but the taste wise is yummy. Thanks Jen!

Lastly this is the boys' breakfast today... got some really nice celery at the store & cooked it with some nice cherry tomatoes with chorizo.. Yong hang said very nice...

Its a public holiday today .. so i cooked lunch for the kids... Yeah ! its pork chops...with side vegetables. The boys love it.

Once again i tried wendyinkk recipe for this pasta dish. She does not use cream for her carbonara and its super easy to make yet delicious.

This is another Jaime Oliver inspired dish...Chicken cacciatore or basically he called it chicken in spicy tomato stew... Had it with wholewheat spaghetti. Surprisingly my greatest supporter this time is the youngest member of the family... yeah.... be yong hang!

Ma was away for a short trip... means i can tryout new recipes... For lunch i made this sicilian inspired pasta dish..It was a dish by Jamie Oliver... was watching his 15 mins meals lately.. and this caught my interest.. so i tried it out... simple & delicious though

Baked eggs & sweet potato puffs

We are not going to Jaden's weekend indulgence of pork noodles today as Ryan always vomitted during his taekwondo class later. We shall go tomorrow instead. I made a light breakfast today.. yeah baked eggs..with bacon & cheese. too bad i don't have ramekins... Lesson learned, have to get ramekins... as the cream sipped out from the mould that i used.

Made some sushi for the boys for breakfast today... Jaden loves the tamago & seaweed.

Then i tried Jamie Oliver's chorizo carbonara.. pooh! it turns out... so delicious. I used bird's eye chilli... wa the heat was amazing.. the smell of the fresh rosemary with the garlic and lemon juice was amazing... shud try it... cos it uses yogurt as its sauce. Simple & delicious!
