Rice day

I made tonkatsu rice for the boys today and kimchee fried rice for myself. Jaden likes his rice with a bit more of gravy, so i put more sauce for his rice. Ryan has to go to school in the morning, i have saved his portion for him to try in the afternoon.

Its Halloween today...

finally its here.... the boys are excited to get their treats & can't wait for the halloween contest results to be announced.....I made Mac & cheese for breakkie today..I made myself some pumpkin soup for the fun of it.. the pumpkin is super sweet, given by ma.

Today's breakfast is pasta meatballs. Jaden likes the shell pasta & Ryan doesn't like those, he prefers spaghetti. I added some  cherry tomatoes sauté with garlic, parsley & basil..

Potato & corn soup

Today's highlight is my potato & corn soup, which Jaden surprisingly loves it..yay! He also likes the sesame & poppy seed buns that his ku-ku made, spread with his favourite garlic butter.

Omelette wraps

Had some wraps left in the fridge, made this for the boys this morning. Since Jaden is an egg lover, i added some of the remaining omelette for him. Ryan loves the mashed potatoes.

I sometimes wonder why Jaden hesitated to try the food that i made for him. Was it so bad? but if yes, the other picky eater will not touch the food either...sigh... hard to please everyone..

Tonight's dinner is pork shogayaki with rice. Simple yet delicious meat dish. Maybe the soy sauce i use is too dark... it makes the meat so dark..

I am a "bean" person... i loved beans.. Mum bought a lot of four angled beans over the weekend. Managed to browse through one of my favourite masak blog "Daily Obsession" and found her recipe is so easy & the dish was done within minutes. Just add in some "hae bi", bunga kantan, fish sauce, lime juice & sugar to taste. Don't forget the cili padi.... It will give the dish a "kick". Mum & Ryan loves them very much.

Hmm... so bored to prepare half boiled egg every morning. Today i made a star shaped on the fresh bread that brother baked yesterday. Then cracked an egg into the "hole" while frying the bread. Voila! here they are...

For lunch i made a japanese soup "tonjiru" adapted from one of my favourite blogger Nasilemaklover. Tonjiru is a miso soup with lotsa veggies and meat in a pot.

I have been having the urge to eat pad thai. Looked up some recipe on that but made some changes to suit my taste. I omitted the peanuts as i do not like them in my noodles and i ran out of preserved turnips. Maybe next time i will put them.

I alweyz loves noodles.. especially meehoon. If mum fried them am sure i will finish a big plate of them. This time i tried korean Japchae. Whoa... although the ingredients are easy to get .. but u have to season each ingredient separately.. which is quite time consuming.. but the end result its a delicious meal.. One of my food critic loves it..
