This was our second overseas trip ... This was a 6D5N package with AirAsia. Reached Goldcoast in the morning of Aug 18th. We collected our rented car from Coolangatta airport and headded straight to Currumbin Wildife park as it was the nearest attraction to the airport. Jaden was behaving very well, slept most of the time and only wakes up 10 mins before we landed at the airport. He was very excited as before our journey we have bought books and told him we were going to see lotsa outback animals on this trip.As expected, at the wildlife park, Jaden enjoyed chasing after some wallabies, and looking at the "real" koala.
After the park, we went cruising in the city... we were reliefed that Jaden was sitting on his car seat... as we know one of the penalties was not having ur kid in a car seat... pheww... past the first day. We stayed at Sea World resort hotel. After checking into the hotel, we went out again, this time is to grab something for lunch and more sightseeing around town and manage to spend some time at the botannical garden.
We headed to Tambourine mountain after breakfast at the hotel. This place was something like our Cameron Highlands... a few attractions on the hill that we visited were Heritage winery, Polish gallerie, gallery walk.. Next was Springbook national park... it offers a great lookout for nature lovers, not denying a spectacular view of nature from some of the the lookout spot...We headed back to surfers paradise and had ramen for lunch... then shopped at one of the supermarket before heading back to get some milk for Jaden. went back to hotel to rest...dinner was takeaway of Redrooster.. one of the local fast food... not bad... we got 2 pieces of grilled chicken, served with peas, corn and grilled pumpkin & potato. We return the car this morning and booked ourselve on the Aqua duck tour... an experience not to be missed as the "duck" provided a nice tour around some of the posh bungalows along the river... Had ramen for lunch again... as it was quite tasty and head back to the hotel with the public bus.. first experience for Jaden..Jaden likes to play water so much we thought the weather would be nice as the sun was shinning high... We brought him to the hotel pool... unfortunately the water at the pool was icy cold...afraid he might catch cold and wasted the rest of the days, we only spent about 15 mins at the pool.. as an alternative... he had his time at the room's bathtub..After breakfast today we spent most of our time at the theme park today... watching sesame characters on parade... riding train, car, aeroplane rides....There are also polar bears, sharks, penguins and a huge aquarium in the theme park... and not to be missed dolphins shows
The hotel has Sesame characters appearance every morning... Jaden managed to take picture with this big cookie monster..Today we visited Paradise country....its like a petting zoo... beside having shows like sheep shaving... cowboy shows... tea and bread making the cowboy way.. Lunch was provided at the place... and we were entertained by the locals... no doubt they have nice vocals too... Guess these are some highlights which i can still remember... too long did not update this blog liao... hehehe.. but hope to catch up ..yeah...
