Nasi lemak

Mom & Jen prepared nasi lemak for lunch. They made curry chicken, sambal so tong, assam prawns and fried "kiam hu".

The boys especially Jaden was so fond of spongebob's krabby patty and requested me to make the burgers for them.

As for lunch i made some triangled sushi rice with crabsticks and sausages as the hidden ingredients in the rice.

Linguini

I always like simple stir fry pasta, or they called it alio olio. Made myself a garlic and mushroom linguine with parsley & chill flakes.. yummy, simple & fast..

Chickpea & lentil soup

I was not feeling well the past 2 days and don't have appetite for food. My sister bought a packet of lentils for me during my Doha trip. Quite satisfied with the soup although the original recipe do not have cayenne pepper & cumin which I love them in my soup.

A pleasant surprise

This one really caught me... i was teaching the boys their homework when an uncle in his 50s stopped his car outside my house this afternoon. Was wondering what he wants with a piece of paper in his hand. I was not with my best facial appearance when i approached him and with a stern voice i asked what was his business. When he told me he was delivering flowers, my facial expression changed as fast as lightning.. to a smiling one...he must be wondering what a fierce woman i am.. hehehe...

Next surprise is that the basket of flowers is from my old boss & family, it has been 2 years & a month since i left my working life / the last boss that i worked with, but most of the working experiences were still fresh in my memories. Throughout my whole working life, i can say i am quite lucky to have met very nice bosses, but the last one was the best cos i worked for him the longest.

Just wana say thank you very much Dagfinn & Theng you are indeed a great boss!

Biryani rice with Tomato curry chicken

I promised the boys to cook their "Doha rice" which is the biryani rice today. I followed Chef Wan's recipe for the rice, the results was very aromatic, as i put in all the ingredients needed accordingly. Only substituted the cashew nuts with pine nuts. As for the curry chicken, I opted for a non-coconut milk based gravy. Found this recipe by Wendy in KK..Love it!... Jen maybe u can try this curry chicken for your 100 chicken recipe quest...

Luncheon meat hash with pita bread

My strongest supporter is away these days, the other 2 are quite picky on the type of food that i make. Made luncheon meat hash this morning, they did not like the bread.. so i ate it for my breakfast & lunch... sender enjoy!!
