Wafu bacon and shimeiji spaghetti

Today I tried another recipe from one of my favourite chef in youtube, Masa. Its simple and delicious, the boys like it. Ingredients are bacon, onions, garlic, cili padi (for extra kick) and spring onion. Sauce will be one tbsp sake and miring, 2 tbsp soy sauce and a knob of butter.

Guang Chiang ( teochew traditional kueh)

I saw this on astro during CNY, which brings back childhood memory. Tried the recipe recommended on the programme CNY Comfort Food. The recipe calls for jicama, radish, yam and groundnuts. Seasonings are white pepper and salt. Mix shredded vegetables with rice flour, corn flour and seasonings. Make sure its sticky and do not add too much flour, else the flavour, will be covered by the flour. Wrap mixture with soy bean sheet, then steam for 20 minutes, Cool them the cut into pieces b4 deep frying them.

Best to eat with my mum's child sauce (fresh chilies cili padi for extra kick, garlic, little ginger - optional, sugar, vinegar, salt)

Dumplings!

Made some dumplings following one of my favourite Japanese vlogger, cooking with dog. I made my own condiment though. I boiled my gyoza instead of pan frying them.
Yaki gyoza recipe by Cooking with dog:
Ground pork
Cabbage
onion
Garlic chive
Sesame oil
grated ginger and garlic
oyster sauce, sugar, sake, pepper
My condiment:
chopped spring onions, coriander
soy sauce
chili flakes, sesame seeds
hot oil.
