Had to do cleaning today... so i whipped up kid's favourite y'day. Juz heat it up in the oven for breakfast today..

Baked eggs & sweet potato puffs

We are not going to Jaden's weekend indulgence of pork noodles today as Ryan always vomitted during his taekwondo class later. We shall go tomorrow instead. I made a light breakfast today.. yeah baked eggs..with bacon & cheese. too bad i don't have ramekins... Lesson learned, have to get ramekins... as the cream sipped out from the mould that i used.

Made some sushi for the boys for breakfast today... Jaden loves the tamago & seaweed.

Then i tried Jamie Oliver's chorizo carbonara.. pooh! it turns out... so delicious. I used bird's eye chilli... wa the heat was amazing.. the smell of the fresh rosemary with the garlic and lemon juice was amazing... shud try it... cos it uses yogurt as its sauce. Simple & delicious!

Sandwiches & omelette

Made some sandwiches for breakfast today. Added some onions, capsicum & tomatoes for fiber but had some leftover veg, so i made myself an omelette. Served with my favourite cuppa of espresso.. Nice start for a lovely day....

Ayam masak merah

Today i tried the new maggi "ayam masak merah" which is cook in a bag in the rice cooker. Just prepare some chicken, carrots, potatoes, tomato and onion, then toss the seasoning with the plastic bag provided. I also added telur mata kerbau as side dish. Taste wise its quite nice but the next time i cook, maybe have to add some water to create extra gravy.

Yesterday was mid-autumn festival. Thank God no loud firecrackers, or else Chiki will go nuts again. Jaden made his lantern in school... a cute minion.

Sausage rolls

Jen bought some ready-made croissant dough, so i made some cheese sausage rolls today. It was easy to use (the dough was a bit distorted when i tried to get them off the package), fast to cook & delicious. Will definitely get some for stock. Eat it with a cuppa espresso...

I bet this is Ryan's favourite. Every wednesday is library time and we have asked him to borrow at least one book per week. He is hooked on the Hardy boys for now and is afraid that his teacher will scold him for borrowing only an english book. So he sneaked into the library during his recess time to borrow his favourite book. I was amazed that Jaden can finish his portion although he asked for an extra cup of water.

The dish was simply done with some slices of garlic, chili flakes, fresh basil and some leftover sauce that i had.

I made omelette again but with a twist. I have capsicum, mushroom, sausages and onions for the omelette. At the end of cooking the omelette i added the couscous. Jaden gave me a thumbs up..

Black Pepper pork loin omelette

Jaden loves to eat fried egg. I made this omelette for breakkie today. Add some black pepper pork loin, onions, shredded mozzarella, cumin, paprika and garlic. For Ryan & Keat i added some cayenne pepper for some kick. Served with a piece of hotdog.

The potato & leek soup was prepared much earlier... for the first time, I saw leeks at the market which was as big as an old 50 cents in diameter..could not resist to but them.
